Christmas is Near (YAY)!

Hallo guys....Christmas is near, what do you plan to do? Our school made a decorating competition in the high school department. You have to decorate your bulletin board then make your own Christmas lantern and a Nativity Scene. From the day that the decorating started, all classes are exerting their effort to make a masterpiece despite of all the sweat and pressure they're having. The competition lasted about 2 weeks. In the end, everyone's effort was acknowledged but of course, only 3 classes won. They're Grade 8-Aristotle, Grade 10-Purity, and Grade 10-Solomon.

We had a blog activity last Wednesday and we should talk about a topic then make a video about it. Jasmine (http://anotheroptimisticpessimist.blogspot.com) and I were partners. Please watch this video about the class decorating competition.

Learning from a Blog Experrrt :D

Hello folks! I am terribly sorry for this post, it should be posted ages ago, but look no further, here it is! Last ummmm....hehe I forgot hte exact date but a guest came to our school (specifically, our club) for a visit. She is Ms. Patty Laurel-Filart. She is a blogger, travel writer, host, and teacher. (all info are found in her blog http://www.pattylaurel.com/2011/05/about-blogger.html)

So on that day, we all learned and realised some stuff about blogging. Actually, I expected this to be really boring at first, but then, I was enlightened by her smile flashed upon her face. She was different from other speakers because she can really relate to us.

She first told us about some do's and don'ts about blogging. When she was talking about the do's, I was like, "Oh yeah! I'm doin' the right thing!", but when the part of the don'ts came, I'm like, "Ay bawal pala 'yan (facepalm)??" I remember the part about the photoshopping the fats of a person, it really made me laugh out loud...heehee. Anyway, for the next part, she told us some important tips in blogging which I don't really remember. I feel really ashamed because I do not remember all the tips she mentioned, but to sum this all up, she told us to be creative in writing posts. Do not hesitate, just be yourself. Make blogging a hobby not a chore. These were the words I remembered (I know they are not precise, but you don't expect me to memorize her every word.).

All in all, this was a really fun visit. After listening and absorbing her words, I became more inspired to continue on this blog, and just like her to pass on this inspiration to others. If you are out there reading this blog, Ms. Patty, thank you very much for the tips and all :)

That is all guys, bye for now!

Our Way to SKF

Hey guys! I'm sure you're wondering what is SKF? Well, know you'll know it through this post.

You see, I joined this blogging club in school called Bloggers' Hub. This is the main reason I made this blog:) On our latest session( terribly sorry I do not remember the exact date ), our club moderator dispersed us to different clubs so that we could all write a post about what we experienced there. Well, without further a do, here it is:)

Two clubmates and I were dispersed to the SKF club. First of all, SKF can also be called "Samahang Kulturang Filipino". In this club, you can learn tons of things about the Philippines. They learn history, play Filipino games, and many more! We were really shy and all when we went in the club because we didn't feel we belong, but they all welcomed us warmly and offered us chairs to sit. On that session, they were to research about a historical place, it's history and it's aesthetic touch.

Their moderator told us that they should've made a presentation that they but they weren't ready, so instead they did the research. It was ok for us because we enjoyed anyway. This was a wonderful experience to us, being in a different club for a day. It made us feel special because now we felt that we belong. I hope I can go observe a club again next time. By the way, we weren't able to take pictures, sooo I just drew this for you guys:)

I hope you'll enjoy this post guys, bye for now:)

Ten Tips to Succeed in Answering a Hard Exam

Ten Tips to Succeed in Answering a Hard Exam: (of course studying is one of them)
1.) When the exam is about to begin, eat a sweet candy, it will make you feel more active and motivated to answer the exam.
2.) Just Chill and NEVER look at your watch, you'll just panic.
3.) Even though you are just in the first item of the exam, don't flip your paper again and again, you'll just see more questions that will make you tense.
4.) Breath in then out, it will help circulate your brain.
5.) Think of positive things, do not be a pessimist by thinking that you will fail.
6.) Stay calm, don't feel your heartbeat:) when it's fast, you'll just panic...AGAIN:)
7.) Don't doze off by thinking of dismissal, you'll go to a mall, with friends, shopping and some fun that you'll have soon, DON'T.
8.) Don't look at your teacher because, you will just remember the horror when they will check them. (but look at them only if the exam is over, or if there are corrections in the exam.)
9.) If in case you forget how to do a question, close your eyes and imagine your notes using photographic memory......if you have. (its works sometimes!)
10.) Finally, finish the test with confidence, but still check your paper, maybe twice is enough. Do not regret your answers.

Here is just a link to the new blog my brother made, look forward to it!

Awkward Little Me

Well, I know the first impression you guys will have is, "Cute!" or for some, "Mcdo!". I was seven years old that time still very happy, young and carefree. A lot of people say that I've gotten a lot thinner than before, that's true, I eat less now.
If you are a close person who grew up with me, you probably won't notice the difference. Before, I was a very crazy happy, cute and cheerful child, but now I am a person who may get mad sometimes or be filled with stress because of assignments, projects, reports and other stress-filled activities. For me, this is a very awkward photo because I am doing the Mcdo gesture on my head, and plus, I don't have my two front teeth that time, well it's a long story. These days, lots of people say, "Too bad, you've gotten thin, not cute anymore:(" That made me feel kinda sad, that sometimes I hope I would go back to that time and make a lot of people be addicted by my weird cuteness:P
Honestly, I don't regret changing who I am. I am now reaching for my dreams as a confident person. I am immature no more. I am also more responsible now, not that dependent anymore. I can also be the person to succeed in all hardships that block my way since I'm already not a little kiddy. I may still regret a bit now and then, but making me always stay the same way won't make me move a step closer to success. I learned saying goodbye to who I was and open a new door to where I am destined to stay. So, so long old me!

God's Blessing, A Beautiful Flower

Gumamela, a God-given gift
One of my favorite verses from the Bible that I think is suitable for my post is from James 1:17. It says, "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." This verse embodies my whole blog, about the things that make me happy and contented in my life.

The first time I planned the title, I thought of it deeply. I wanted it to be meaningful. Then after sometime, I thought of something as for me is a masterpiece. "Good Things About Life", this expresses how I appreciate everything pleasant in life because it is God-given. As for this flower, which is specifically Gumamela, gives us the look of the wonders of God. For me, its pretty red stalk stuck on top with tiny pollen represents us, we are countless. The flower base is God, the one who supports the stalk which is us. This means that without Him, we won't even live. This applies to all of us; we should treat everything in this world as a blessing because God gave all His love just for us.

I still remembered that night when I was thinking of a blog address for this blog. It was difficult because it took me nearly three hours to come up with this idea. My brain crashed because I just finished doing my assignment and I admit, it wasn't that easy. I looked out the window and stared at the sky. The beauty of the stars caught my eyes. Upon looking at the stars, I thought of the hope that I still have. I settled my fingertips and started typing word by word. There's much hope around me. I finally finished, my work paid off. I smiled and thought how amazing this would be, a blog address to be an inspiration for me, "starlightfullofhope.blogspot.com".
